About Dato Loy Teik Ngan: In 1987, as a 26 years old entrepreneur, Dato Loy Teik Ngan founded Leisure Holidays Berhad after spotting an opportunity in the budding vacation timeshare industry.
Teik Ngan took over the reins of his family business, the MBf Group upon his father’s demise. It was during the Asian financial crisis of 1998 and within a year, the sprawling business empire that took 35 years to build, collapsed under the weight of huge debts. It took 14 years before these family debts were eventually settled.
In this time, he built a new family business, focused on education. The Taylor’s Education Group is today the largest private education group in Malaysia. Focused on premium education, Taylor’s K-12 schools, college & universities are well known, trusted and award-winning brands operating in Malaysia, Singapore & Vietnam.
